Item Description
THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC
The diva belting out the ballad gets all the glory, but where would she be without the hard-working musicians who gather eight times a week to put the music in musical theater? We’ve all seen the magic onstage, but have you ever wondered what goes on underneath? The orchestra pit manages to hold the largest amount of Broadway talent in the smallest square footage available. Its members have endured all manner of props, cell phones, and even bodies dropping from above on their heads. Yet, they consistently deliver beautifully diverse scores from Sondheim, Bernstein, and Webber to Sinatra, Green Day, and ABBA without missing a beat. Get to know these unsung Broadway heroes as you sit in with the orchestra at Mamma Mia! You’ll never look or listen to a show the same way again.
