Item Description
Get an up close and personal tour of one of America's best museums!
You and three guests will receive a private docent tour of the Asian Arts Museums acclaimed Shanghai exhibition. As one of the largest museums in the Western world devoted exclusively to Asian art, you'll travel through 6,000 years of history, trek across seven major regions, and sample the cultures of numerous countries.
Shanghai explores the history of one of the world's most dynamic and cosmopolitan cities. For more than a century, Shanghai artists have not only been documenting the city's many changes and this exhibition features more than 130 oil paintings, Shanghai Deco furniture and rugs, revolutionary posters, works of fashion, movie clips, and contemporary installations. Your private tour will be lead by Elizabeth Sah, a longtime museum docent.
Your tour also includes a meal at the museum's Cafe Asia. Offering a great selection of pan-Asian dishes from various regions, you and your guest will enjoy a relaxing stop before continuing your visit to the many other exhibits in the museum.
Item Special Note
Shanghai exhibition closes September 5, 2010. Tour must be scheduled in advance of this date. Cafe Asia serves lunch Tuesday through Sunday and dinner Thursday nights. Tour not available the first Sunday of each month.
