Item Description
Join 2nd grade parent, Chonda Nwamu, as she hosts author, Jacqueline Luckett, for a lively discussion of her debut novel: Searching for Tina Turner. A hardback copy of her book (released January 2010) will be provided to each ticket holder in advance of the party. The party will be held on Sunday, April 18th, 2:00-4:30. Ms. Luckett will sign your copy of the book and share her insights over wine and hors d' oeuvres.
Jacqueline E. Luckett has a sympathetic ear for all women who have devoted their lives to their families at the price of their own passion. In this inspiring debut novel, Jacqueline's Lena Spencer appears to have it all, but deep down realizes she is unfulfilled. After 25 years of putting herself second to everything else, Lena finds the strength to embark on a new beginning with the iconic Tina Turner as her North Star.
