Item Description
Come join up with the 9th Kentucky Co. C for an authentic Civil War experience. The 9th KY welcomes you to fall in with them as they bring history back to life. We will make sure that you are geared up with a uniform, weapon, food, and all the items that soldiers carried with them on campaign. You will be trained on the different methods for carrying a rifled musket, marching with the company, and civil war battle tactics. You will eat and sleep as civil war soldiers did in the field. You will enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow soldiers and hear tales of home and past battles.
This experience is perfect for the history lover that would like to get a slightly better idea of the hardships that civil war soldier endured. You will learn not only about the civil war, but you will meet those that care enough about history and the civil war to make these events as authentic as possible.
Winner will attend participate in a Civil War reenactment in mid-Michigan. Winner will have gear, food, and authentic lodging (if desired) provided. The winner will participate in battles, camp life, evening social, and military instruction.
Item Special Note
The winner must be a male over 16 years of age. There will be marching, hiking, and various camp duties to perform. The Civil War unit (9th Kentucky Co. C) will train and equip the winner to participate in the battle and evening activities. The Civil War unit (9th Kentucky Co. C) assumes no liability for any injuries that the winner may suffer. More details and possible event dates (mid-July or late August) will be provided to the Winner.
