Item Description

This stay is for one night in a deluxe king room and includes a bottle of champagne and continental breakfast.

This is the classic and historic landmark hotel co-owned by Doris Day, renowned for its luxury and pet friendly atmosphere...right in the midst of pet welcoming Carmel. This fabulous stay includes a complementary bottle of champagne from owners Ms. Day and Dennis LeVett.

Cypress Inn is located in the heart of Carmel-by-the sea, surrounded by galleries and restaurants, and just blocks from Carmel's famous pet friendly beach. The Cypress Inn offers every comfort including recently remodeled rooms and suites and the personal service of a thoughtful staff. Dogs and cats are welcome guests.

The Cypress Inn enjoys a rich history. In 1906, Sidney J. Yard, a renowned California artist, noted for painting watercolors in the English manner, built the first studio in Carmel on the site. The space was later used by another famous artist Miss DeNeale Morgan. In 1929 Dr. Rudolf Kocher, working with one of Carmel's premier contractors Hugh Comstock, constructed the present building. Known originally as the Hotel La Ribera, it was hailed in the local press when it opened as "one of the show places of the Monterey Peninsula." The name was later changed to the Cypress Inn.
