These prints from the original costume sketches for the six main characters in the movie version of "The Wiz" include Michael Jackson as Scarecrow, Richard Pryor as The Wiz (revealed), Diana Ross as Dorothy, Nipsey Russell as Tin Man, Ted Ross as Lion, and Mabel King as Evillene. Included is custom framing (up to $1,500 in value) by Moorman Galleries.
Designer Tony Walton was recognized for his work on this film with Oscar nominations for Best Art Direction-Set Decoration and Best Costume Design in 1979. Tony Walton inscribed these prints to Chief Scenic Artist Ed Garzero in thanks for his work. All six prints measure 18 by 24 inches, are in full color and in good condition, having been stored flat and pressed.
