The Public Theatre in NYC is currently producing Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson for which Michael did the score. Michael Kuchwara of the Associated Press said it is, "An intriguing, often outrageous look at American history, filtered through the satiric eye of ALEX TIMBERS and MICHAEL FRIEDMAN’s pulsating rock score."
Michael Friedman can do it all: “Mr. Friedman… has a reputation for fluency in a variety of musical styles – pop, salsa, rock and folk among them – while critics have singled out his lyrics for their playful comic images layered atop potent emotional messages.” - The New York Times.
