2006 Chateau Ste Michelle Limited Release Columbia Valley Malbec, value $30. 2006 was a particularly good year for this limited-production wine and it is not widely available.
2000 Chateau Ste Michelle Reserve Columbia Valley Late Harvest Semillon (375 ml bottle), value $25. This 'dessert wine' is described by the donor as "lush, sweet, and generous."
2007 "Ghost of 413" Red, from The Giant Wine Company in Washington. The 2007 Ghost is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 12% Syrah. Nicely structured red with 20 months in French oak.
2007 "IQ2 Friends", Clubhouse Cellars Columbia valley red, (a blend of Cabernet, Merlot, and Syrah) $10 value. One reviewer said it was the best $10 wine from Washington he'd ever drunk.
2005 "Two in the Bush" Cabernet-Merlot from Bird in the Hand Winery, Adelaide Hills, Australia. $17 value. Described as having a "rich, vibrant palate."
2006 Hafner (California) Chardonnay, "big and oakey". Value $19. said to be "Medium to full bodied with notes of honeyed pineapple and nectarine." (who writes these reviews!?)
2006 Rulo Winery (Eastern Washington) Syrah, Value $20. Said to have hints of berries, earthiness, and spice.
2005 Rainier Ridge Chardonnay, Value $11. "Aromas of ripe apples and peaches."
2005 Langmiel Valley Floor Shiraz, Australia, Value: $23. Ripe rich and plummy with dark cherry fruit and earthy tones.
2006 L'Ecole 41 Cabernet Sauvignon, Walla Walla, Value $34. From a prize winning winery, this wine is described as leading with "spiced plum and sun dried tomato' flavors.
Lopez Island Vinyards: 2 bottles of organically grown white from a great local vinyard; specific varieties not yet selected. Value $15-$17 each.
