Item Description
Cindy Dietz, mother of Navy SEAL Danny Dietz Jr., commissioned this mask in memory of her son, who was killed on June 28, 2005 when his 10-member SEAL Team, assigned to kill or capture a high-ranking Taliban leader in the Hindu-Kush Mountains of Afghanistan encountered a fierce gun battle. “He gallantly gave his life for the cause of freedom.” Airbrush artist and teacher Debbie Fox of Englewood, Colo., created this mask in Danny’s memory. She calls is Honoring a Fallen Soldier. The evening ocean with footprints is in reference to the Navy SEAL video.
