Item Description
Allied Jewish Apartments, a non-denominational senior housing community that has provided affordable and subsidized apartment homes and services in Cherry Creek since 1971, donated this mask by retired teacher and artist Nancy Meloy. A second-generation artist, Nancy learned photography in the U.S. Navy, has taken classes at the S.E. Art Museum, Monterey Peninsula College, the Denver Botanic Gardens, Denver Zoo and the Art Students League. Her mask titled, "Shanti" (Peace), reflects that people the world over are all different colors but we are all alike.
