Item Description

You are bidding on the Jack of Diamonds, a 48 inch by 36 inch acrylic on canvas painting by Debbie L. Foster. This work has an estimated value of $650.

Proceeds from the sale of this piece will benefit RACC, an organization that through vision, leadership, and service, the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) works to integrate arts and culture in all aspects of community life.

Born with a crayon in her mouth, Debbie Foster has been creating art since she was practically born. She did not become serious about her work until she was diagnosed with end stage renal failure.  Because of this diagnosis, Debbie was not able to continue with her career as a deputy sheriff and began to paint to keep busy, promote good health and eventually to compete at the Clackamas County Fair and the Oregon Annual Art Show and Competition.  She consecutively won multiple awards, one being second place with the painting "Ladies and Gentlemen, a Depiction of Love and Romance in the Black Community". All of her art work that depicts people embraces all ethnicities, races, alternative lifestyles and various shapes and sizes of all people.  Her work is colorful, up-beat and her aim is to leave the viewers happy and feeling good. Debbie was originally born in Berkeley California, now lives in Oregon City, has one son, and loves to bake but not eat the goods. Although the auction requires you to register a credit card to bid, we will NOT automatically bill your card if you are a winning bidder, as we would prefer to collect your payment by check or cash when you pick up your artwork.  You will receive notice from us if you are the winning bidder with your options.
