Item Description
Two orchestra tickets for The Metropolitan Opera’s new production of Rossini’s comedy LE COMTE ORY on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Rossini’s vocally dazzling comedy soars with bel canto sensation Juan Diego Flórez in the title role of this Met premiere production. He vies with mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato, in the trouser role of Isolier, for the love of the lonely Countess Adèle, sung by soprano Diana Damrau. Director Bartlett Sher, who also directed the Met’s popular productions of Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Les Contes d’Hoffmann, describes the world of Le Comte Ory as, “a place where love is dangerous. People get hurt. That can be very funny and very painful. Rossini captures both—with the most beautiful love music he ever wrote.”
Item Special Note
Valid only for the performance on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Tickets will be provided after September 1, 2010. No refunds or exchanges on donated tickets.
