Item Description
The title pretty much says it all. This tribute to one of our most prolific and entertaining modern-day playwrights includes:
1. Three Grove Atlantic paperbacks signed by Mr. Durang:
- Betty's Summer Vacation, with a foreward by our very own Tim Sanford, and an introduction by Michael Feingold, theatre critic for the Village Voice
- Miss Witherspoon and Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge, with an introduction by the playwright himself
- Laughing Wild and Baby with the Bathwater, each with an afterword by Mr. Durang
2. "Christopher Durang - 27 Short Plays" - a volume that includes some of Durang's most famous and most obscure works, such as The Actor's Nightmare, Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You, For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls, The Nature and Purpose of the Universe, and The Hardy Boys and the Mystery of Where Baby Comes From. Throughout the volume Durang has added author's notes and insights. - Signed copy
3. A photo of Mr. Durang as the “Infant of Prague” in the PH production of Laughing Wild (you may have forgotten that he used to act too...but now you won't!) - signed by Mr. Durang
4. A signed poster from the PH production of Betty’s Summer Vacation
5. A signed playbill from the PH production of Miss Witherspoon
6. A 1985 Dramatists Guild Quarterly in which Durang writes about the Church's reaction to Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You, and the subsequent protests that erupted in St. Louis and Boston. Looking back, Durang calls it an early example of the Culture Wars.
Yes, we're serious - this can all be yours! All it takes is one bid.
