Item Description
This package includes one gift certificate for a Back to Basics Quilt Class, which is an 11-week class that begins August 26, 2010. This class will provide the winning bidder with all the basic techniques of how to make a sampler quilt (as shown in photo).
In this beginning class, the students will learn how to make a quilt from the very beginning, including learning about fabric, using rotary tools and basic supplies, and then sewing while learning basic piecing techniques. The students will end the course with a finished sampler and a new skillset that will allow them to move on to more advanced quilt making. This course will be centered on the book Quilts! Quilts!! Quilts!!!: The Complete Guide to Quiltmaking by Diana McClun and Laura Nownes. This book is considered the bible for quilt making.
