BIOGRAPHY
Steve Roden is a visual and sound artist from Los Angeles whose work includes drawing, painting, sculpture, sound installation, film/video and performance: all of which derive inspiration from various types of particular notation (such as text, maps, musical scores, etc.). Roden has had numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally as well as internationally at venues such as Susanne Vielmetter; Los Angeles; Berlin Projects; Studio La Citta Gallery in Verona, Italy; the Mercosur Biennial in Porto Alegre, Brazil; Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris; San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art; UCLA Hammer Museum; the Museum of Contemporary Arts-EMST in Athens and the Singuhr-Horgalerie in Parochial, Berlin. Roden received his MFA from Art Center College of Design and his BFA from Otis Parsons in Los Angeles.
