BIOGRAPHY
Joshua Callaghan is a Los Angeles-based interdisciplinary artist and filmmaker. Drawing on his education in cultural anthropology and fine art, his artwork investigates his relationship to post-industrial American material culture. Callaghan's work has been shown in museums and film festivals around the world, including Haas & Fischer Gallery and Grieder Contemporary in Zurich; Galleria Fortes Vilaca, Sao Paulo; The Guggenheim Gallery of Chapman University; and Steve Turner Contemporary, Bank Gallery, and LA Louver in Los Angeles. His most recent solo exhibitions include The Distended Hand Truck and Other Curiosities at Steve Turner Contemporary in Los Angeles (2009) and One Hundred Year Anniversary Commemorative Ford Model-T at Haas & Fischer Gallery for Volta NY. Callaghan received his MFA from UCLA.
