BIOGRAPHY
Bobbi Woods uses old movie posters and advertisements of pop culture as the base images for her art, intended to direct the viewer’s attention to a latent subtext. She has participated in group exhibitions at galleries on both coasts, including Hat Factory in Chicago (2000); MOCA, Los Angeles (2004); Daniel Hug in Los Angeles (2008); Fourteen30 Contemporary in Portland (2009); and Center for Book Arts (2008) and Asia Song Society in New York (2009), among others. Woods has also had numerous solo exhibitions at Art Center College of Design, where she received her MFA and BFA.
