BIOGRAPHY
The artwork of Mark Verabioff, which ranges from performance to video to context art, is largely concerned with the connection between language, aesthetics and content, along with the social-political capabilities of form. Verabioff's work has been featured in Artforum, C Magazine, Flash Art, Frieze and The New York Times. He has had numerous solo exhibitions, including shows at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Eighth Veil, Angstrom Gallery and Mandrake in Los Angeles; Contemporary Arts Forum in Santa Barbara; and Video In, Vancouver, among others. His work has also appeared in group exhibitions at Andrea Rosen Gallery, The New Museum and Artists Space in New York; Kunst-Werke, Berlin; New Langton Arts, San Francisco and the Backroom and China Art Objects Gallery in Los Angeles. Verabioff was born in Canada and he resides in Los Angeles.
