BIOGRAPHY
Michael Smoler is a collage artist and poet living in Los Angeles. He is the director and co-founder of High Energy Constructs, an exhibition and performance venue in Chinatown. Smoler has taught at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, where he also received a BA in Writing and Poetics from the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics. He has also studied and taught at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. Since 1996, Smoler has worked as an administrator, curator, producer, and technician with numerous international visual and media artists, musicians, writers and theater, dance and fashion companies. He is the author of In Envy in smoke, Worn Broke and The Candy was Good.
