BIOGRAPHY
Kevin Hanley’s work demonstrates on ongoing interest in the elusive nature of perception and the ways in which time-based media can take on three-dimensional and performative qualities. Hanley’s work has been featured in exhibitions at MOCA, Los Angeles; the 50th Venice Biennale; the second Site Santa Fe Biennale and the Musee d’Art Moderne in Paris, France. This year he has had solo exhibitions at ACME in Los Angeles and I-20 in New York. He has previously had one-person exhibitions at Taka Ishii Gallery, Tokyo; Galerie Christian Nagel in Cologne; Artspeak in Vancouver; Rocket Gallery in London and ACME. Articles and reviews on Hanley's work have appeared in Artforum, Contemporary, Flash Art, Frieze, Kultureflash, The Los Angeles Times and The New York Times. Hanley works and lives in Los Angeles.
