BIOGRAPHY
Eamon Ore-Giron was born in Tucson and has lived in Peru, Spain, Mexico and the Southwest of the United States, which has informed much of his visual vocabulary. He has had solo exhibitions at MUCA ROMA, Mexico City (2006); Queen's Nails Annex, San Francisco (2005); and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Philadelphia (2005). His work was also included in group shows at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; LA >< Art; the San Juan Triennial in Puerto Rico and LACMA. Ore-Giron has received awards from Artadia: the Fund for Art and Dialogue, The Durfee Foundation and the Headlands Center for the Arts, As a performance artist, Ore-Giron creates DJ and audio culture forums under a number of names including LOS JAICHACKERS, DJ LENGUA and OJO. He has released a series of EPs as well as a full-length album and was awarded a residency by MOCA to create three performances during the summer of 2009 with the group OJO. He received a BFA from San Francisco Art Institute and an MFA from UCLA.
