BIOGRAPHY
Joseph Lee's recent body of work isolates the act of improvisation as a vital element in artistic practice, allowing the artist to record otherwise fleeting thoughts and use them as points of departure for more articulated renderings. Lee has had solo exhibitions at LMAN Gallery and Dan Bernier Gallery in Los Angeles and Bronwyn Keenan Gallery in New York. His recent group exhibitions include HEF, JAIL Gallery, Los Angeles; Shadow-line, Flutter and Radiance, AndrewShire Gallery, Los Angeles; and Survival Skills at Paradise Park Complex in Scottsdale, Arizona. Lee received his BA from Otis School of Art and Design. He lives and works in Los Angeles.
