BIOGRAPHY
Charles Irvin makes videos, drawings and paintings that depict a bizarre universe populated with comedians, creeps, aliens and wizards. His work is “devoted to the concept of absurdity taken to the extreme, and sometimes reflects his interest in comparative mythology and Aleister Crowley’s writings on language.” Most recently, his art was exhibited at the Hammer Museum, White Columns in New York and the Museum of Modern Art in Luxembourg. He lives in Los Angeles.
