BIOGRAPHY
In a review of Adam Janes’ work in the LA Times, Peter Frank writes, “Janes is working several hip idioms and doing so much better than almost anyone else around." Janes’ work has been praised for its “intellectual ambition” and its stylish combination of art historical and pop culture references. It is included in the collections of MOCA, Los Angeles and LACMA. Janes is represented by Galerie Vallois in Paris and Tim Van Laere Gallery in Antwerp, Belgium. He has had solo exhibitions with Roberts and Tilton and Tom Solomon in Los Angeles. He recently completed a group exhibition at China Art Objects Galleries in Los Angeles (2010) and he will be exhibiting in Kortrijk, Belgium with Tim Van Laere in June of this year. Janes lives in Los Angeles.
