BIOGRAPHY
Ingrid von Sydow is a multimedia artist who uses sculpture, stand-alone sound, drawing, painting, printmaking and video. Her artwork examines the cultural, political, social and economic issues affecting marginalized people and, in so doing, aims to make palpable the subjective experience. Her work has been seen in galleries and museums in Mexico, Los Angeles, New York City, Denmark and Iceland including the California African American Museum and the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Von Sydow is currently involved in an on-going collaborative work with Muhammad Chang through The Black Space Residency. She received her MFA and BFA from CalArts.
