BIOGRAPHY
Nick Lowe is a California-based painter who is represented by Parker Jones in Los Angeles and Marc Jancou in New York. Lowe’s work exudes expressive confidence, often interweaving humor with a dark sensibility. His works are in the collections of the UCLA Hammer Museum and the Thomas J. Watson Library at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He was recently commissioned by LACE to create the mural that is now on view in LACE’s front gallery. Lowe has had solo exhibitions at Marc Jancou Contemporary (2010) and John Connelly Presents (2005) in New York; Medium Gallery in St. Barthes, French West Indies (2007) and Black Dragon Society in Los Angeles (2002-2007, various), as well as a show with Michelle Williams at Green Gallery in Milwaukee (2009). His work has also been included in exhibitions at Andrea Rosen Gallery, New York; MOCA Pacific Design Center; Peres Projects, Berlin; Uplands Gallery in Melbourne, Australia; Marc Blondeau Fine Arts, Geneva, Switzerland and Vilma Gold in London.
