Item Special Note

Eliza Dushku (full name Eliza Patricia Dushku) was born on December 30, 1980. She is an American actress who has appeared in several Hollywood movies such as Bring It On and Wrong Turn. She is also well known for her acting on television, such as her recurring appearances on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel as Faith, as well as the main character in the series Tru Calling.

Eliza Dushku came to the attention of casting agents when she was 10. Along with her brother, she went to a commercial audition where she tripped on the stairs, bloodied her nose, and became an instant drama queen. Eliza Dushku was chosen at the end of a five month search throughout the United States for the lead role of Alice, opposite Juliette Lewis in the film That Night. In 1993, Eliza Dushku landed a role as Pearl alongside Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio in This Boy's Life, a role that she said opened a lot of doors. Dushku says that DiCaprio taught her how to deal with bullies and other high school dangers, for which she is grateful.

The following year, Eliza Dushku played the teenage daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies. Eliza Dushku would also have parts as Paul Reiser's daughter in Bye Bye, Love, as Cindy Johnson with Halle Berry and Jim Belushi in Race the Sun, as well as roles in a television movie and a short film.

After high school, Eliza Dushku's foray back into acting was with the role of Faith in "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer." Though initally planned as a five episode role, Faith (and Eliza) became so popular with the fans, cast and crew that she stayed on throughout the whole of the third season.

Eliza Dushku has made guest appearances in both "Buffy" and it's spin-off "Angel" during the important May 2000 sweeps, and is currently planning on a return to both shows for the 2003 season.

Eliza Dushku's part in a show popular with both viewers and critics, made sure that Eliza won't be lacking for work any time soon. In 2000, Eliza Dushku starred with Kirsten Dunst in the cheerleading comedy "Bring It On." It was a surprising success at the box office, and Eliza Dushku played her role as the audience surrogate with particular distinction.

Eliza Dushku has since starred in a varied range of films such as "Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back," "Soul Survivors," "The New Guy" and in the Robert De Niro drama, "City by the Sea." Eliza Dushku is also currently filming another leading role in "Wrong Turn", and is sure to be in discussions for many more films. But, aside from a return to television, it is unknown where her diverse career path will take her next.
