BIOGRAPHY
OJO is a collaborative art and music group that performs experimental music that delves into transcendental rhythms and communal harmonics. The group is currently involved in a major LACE project: Los Angeles Goes Live: Exploring a Social History of Performance Art in Southern California, 1970-1983. OJO is developing an itinerant performance and installation that will be presented as part of the Los Angeles Goes Live performance series, which launches in the fall of 2011. Since the group’s formation in 2005, OJO has had solo projects with Esthetics as a Second Language (ESL), LA><ART and Queens Nails Annex. The group is about to release a new album, Psycho Tropical, which includes new musical compositions by OJO as well as excerpts from various live performances. OJO consists of Joshua Aster, Chris Avitabile, Justin Cole, Moises Medina, Eamon Ore-Giron, Brenna Youngblood and various audiences.
