Item Description
Natalie’s pet bird, Chirpie, escapes from her cage and flies outside. There’s only one thing to do: call the poets! Priyanka, Vincent, Lily, Pendleton, and Marion arrive, and come up with a plan to lure Chirpie down from the tree where she’s perched. They’ll make a poet’s bird garden, full of everything birds like most. Once the wonderful garden is complete, Natalie and the poets can’t imagine why Chirpie won’t come down to enjoy it – until Claude, the cat, reveals himself. Bad cat!
In lilting verse, Laura Nyman Montenegro tells a delightful story about thinking creatively and working together. Her warm, expressive illustrations bring the poet’s bird garden – “too lovely for words” – to life.
This lovely hardcover book is autographed by the author.
