Item Description

All About the Looking from the Reconsidered Archive of Michelle du Bois, 2007
ink jet print, 30” x 25”

BIOGRAPHY
“The huge, black-and-white close-up of a heavily lined eye says everything—and nothing.  The glassy pupil stares back, reflecting the momentary glare of a camera’s flash, seemingly self-satisfied in its pristine glamour.  The subject of this image […], though meticulously documented in the “archive” of the exhibition’s title, is a mystery. And Michele Du Bois isn’t even her real name.” - Katie Morgan Whitehot Magazine

Zoe Crosher’s work has been featured in solo exhibitions at DCKT Contemporary, New York; 65GRAND, Chicago; Eleanor Harwood Gallery, San Francisco; and the Claremont Museum of Art. It has also been included in exhibitions at Pomona College Museum of Art and the Douglas F. Cooley Memorial Art Gallery at Reed College in Portland. Crosher’s work is included in the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. She holds a MFA in Photography & Integrated Media from CalArt.
