Item Description

Elizabeth Fritzsche has worked in procelain for 28 years.  She has lived and worked in Japan and China in international artist residencies.  In 2007 she spent 2 months in a small mountain village that was the birthplace of porcelain in China. She was throwing porcelain with Chinese master potters surrounded by rice fields and serenaded by the rhythm of the water hammers crushing the porcelain stone outside the studio.

Elizabeth Fritzsche's sculpture and ceramic work has been shown at the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe, the Albuquerque Museum, the International Ceramic Museum of Jingdezhen, China and in Takeo, Japan.

The artist is represented by Matrix Fine Art, a contemporary gallery in Albuquerque featuring established and emerging New Mexico artists working in painting, ceramic, glass, and sculpture.

The porcelain vase:

Cone 10 Reduction fired Porcelain with clear glaze and Mason Stain. 12" high x 5" deep

Item Special Note

New Mexico residents can pick up auction winnings from 12 pm to 3 pm on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at KUNM-FM in Albuquerque, NM and at a location to be determined in Santa Fe on Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 1 to 4 pm.

Shipping and handling charges will be added to all other shipped items according to the following table:

$8 for all 3-dimensional items up to 1 pound.

$12 for items from 1 lb.1oz to 4 pounds.

Actual cost of shipping and delivery confirmation for more than 4 pounds.
