Celebrate your child’s birthday (or any other occasion!) S.L.A.M. style!
S.L.A.M. (the STREB Lab for Action Mechanics), was established in 2003 by Elizabeth Streb, once called the “Evel Knievel of dance,” as a place where diverse movement voices could accidentally cross paths. Streb's choreography, which she calls "PopAction," intertwines the disciplines of dance, athletics, boxing, rodeo, the circus, and Hollywood stunt-work. The result is a bristling, muscle-and-motion vocabulary that combines daring with strict precision in pursuit of the public display of "pure movement."
This unique party will guide the children through the basic principles of gymnastics and dance, as they explore time, space, shape, air, impact, and energy. A Pop Action party fosters creativity, confidence, critical thinking, and responsibility, as your child discovers just how much fun moving can be!
Item Special Note
Parties last for two hours. STREB will provide two instructors, invitations, popcorn, and paper products, as well as a variety of merchandise available for purchase. Party is for a maximum of 12 children, and does not include food or refreshments (though you are welcome to bring your own).
