Item Description
Providence native Christopher Benson, an artist living and working in Santa Fe, NM, created Collage #4, donated by artist and collector Helen Sturges Nadler of Tiverton, RI.
Christopher writes that he chose to work in abstracts because, "I didn't want to make pictures that would just act like road signs, pointing the viewer to some predetermined interpretation... Art... to me... is a way of allowing the gradual revelation of a painting's meaning to unfold through the process of making it (and looking at it.)"
Item Special Note
