What is the SofTap ™ Hand Method?

Softap™ Permanent Cosmetics application method is the ultimate in comfort, color placement and natural looking results. No electrical devices are used that could cause unnecessary trauma to the skin, discomfort, or delay in healing.  The hand method is very controlled, accurate, precise and 100% sterile and disposable, providing health safety. The result is the most natural look, enhancing your natural features; never harsh or stark looking.

The procedure is done in two applications: The first implant of color will appear darker due to the oxidation of the pigments, but will fade 40% to 50% after initial application. The second application is scheduled 2-3 weeks after your first application of color to make adjustments and fine tune the look you want. As a rule, eye-liner and brow procedures take 2 applications, however lip procedures may take 3 applications.

Your permanent makeup will typically last three to seven years before a touch up visit is needed. Factors that determine how long before you will want to schedule a touch-up are skin tone, skin characteristics, lifestyle and proper after care. The use of sunscreen with an SPF of 30+ will prolong the color vibrancy as well as prevent premature fading.

What is the Softap™ Method?

With the Softap ™ method the application of implanting color into the skin is done by hand, artistically tapping the chosen pigment color into the skin in the desired shape and design that you desire. With this technique individual fine hairs are artistically designed for the brow, making them look soft and powdery. Lips can be made to look fuller, eye liner can make the lashes appear fuller and your natural eye color brighter.

The fresh pigment is deposited by the needles in the hand instrument softly tapping and gently lifting the skin, thereby depositing color in the upper layer of the dermis skin. Traditional methods of implanting color use a reciprocating needle device that pushes color into the lower dermis layer of the skin. The Softap technique gently lifts the skin to deposit color, minimizing discomfort. Because the Softap™ method is the gentlest procedure, the skin heals faster and there is less discomfort. My clients can go out to dinner, return to work, or run errands immediately after their procedure.

The Softap™ pigment colors always look natural and stay true to the color you select. They are hypoallergenic and clients who have had the Softap™ procedure have told me that their friends and family were surprised to hear that they had a permanent cosmetic procedure done because it looked so natural!

Is the Softap technique Safe?

With each procedure a new disposable hand device consisting of fine needles is used and fresh pigments. The Softap pigments contain safe inorganic ingredients resulting in no allergic reactions. In addition, all items used in the procedure are 100% disposable eliminating the risk of cross contamination between clients.

Can you wear traditional make-up over permanent make-up?

Permanent make-up application is designed to enhance one's own natural features. Colors from traditional make-up can be used over the permanent make-up to add a more dramatic look for evening or a special occasion. Permanent make-up enhances, but does not limit you to color preferences.
