Item Description
Hand crafted garden bench constructed by University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Urban Forestry Professors Dr. Les Werner and Dr. Rich Hauer from red pine planted by Aldo Leopold near his legendary "Shack" in Baraboo, WI. The bench has a cherry stain and finished with Spar Varnish which provides UV protection and makes it perfect for use inside or out.
Cherry stained, Red pine bench is 59" long, 34" high, and 24" deep. (New photo available soon!)
Package also inlcudes:
- Photo Illustrated A Sand County Almanac, the Leopold classic, hard cover, photo-illustrated book with breathtaking photos from the Shack and the landscape that inspired Aldo Leopold.
- Aldo Leopold: "Learning the Land" an award-winning DVD, recounts the biography of Aldo Leopold. Includes dramatic readings shot on location of the Shack from Leopold's famous book, A Sand County Almanac.
- Aldo Leopold: A Fierce Green Fire, an illustrated biography of Aldo Leopold by Marybeth Lorbiecki.
Item Special Note
Certificate of authentication signed by Nina Leopold Bradley, Aldo's daughter. Bench comes with a 2" x 4" brass plaque noting significance of wood.
