Item Description
Help support the Nantucket Historical Association.
Be the proud owner of a collector's item, a beautiful custom-made Nantucket lightship picnic basket, handwoven by Sherry O’Donnell. This basket was made in honor of her friend and mentor, Bill Sevrens, one of Nantucket’s most famous basket weavers. An open picnic basket with oak staves and rims, it measures 20 inches in length, 16 inches in width and 9 inches in height. It has double handles with ivory knobs and a curly cherry base. An oval ivory plaque mounted on cherry wood on the front of the basket is the perfect place to personalize the basket with your monogram or the name of your house. This Nantucket basket is truly a work of art. Both beautiful and functional, it would enhance a collection or be a great start of one.
