Item Description
You and up to 3 friends will spend the morning at Charlie Palmer's Aureole with Executive Pastry Chef Jennifer Yee learning how to create some of the delectable desserts served at this renowned Midtown restaurant. Your private instruction will take place in the Aureole kitchen, and you will get the chance to take home what you learn to bake.
Charlie Palmer's unabashed, energetic signature Progressive American cuisine first took root in the original townhouse location of Aureole, where the chef made an early commitment to farm fresh over factory food. Today, Aureole shines at the spectacular Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park, the most environmentally advanced skyscraper in the world.
Executive Pastry Chef Jennifer Yee oversees Aureole’s new dessert team. Highly skilled in pastry, baking, and the art of chocolate, Yee graduated with honors from London’s Le Cordon Bleu with a Patisserie Diploma. She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture from San Jose State University, contributing to her understanding of structure and texture, the underlying reason she likes to have juxtapositions on the plate – cold and hot; crunchy and soft.
Yee’s creativity thrives at Aureole, including inventive dishes such a dark and stormy sundae with macadamia and coconut; warm chocolate banana tartlet, and salted caramel ice cream, as well as her signature rum raisin soufflé with cinnamon oatmeal ice cream and chilled pineapple soup with frozen yogurt and basil foam.
