Item Description
This is the oldest (3000 years or more), simplest and most widely used labyrinth pattern in the world. It is believed to have its origins on the Isle of Crete. With it's 7 interconnecting paths, this pattern associates well with the 7 major Chakras for contemplative and healing purposes. Being 12" round, and weighing about 2 lbs., this labyrinth fits into briefcases, suitcases and is the perfect take along. It is also a tool for those who may lack strength and mobility such as small children and nursing home residents.
Item Special Note
The finger paths in the plain compressed wood designs have a light sandy texture, especially appealing for those looking for a more tactile experience while finger walking. Finger labyrinths in this unfinished compressed wood material can be comfortably used as is or can be stained or painted with a water or oil base stain or paint; The choice is yours. Compressed wood is made from recycled wood products and therefore is a wonderful "green living" alternative to harvesting additional trees.
On the back is a notch for hanging as well as engraved suggestions for use.
