Item Description
The Road to Equality: How American Women Won the Vote
Published by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Information Programs.
Recognizing that they “had little on women,” the U.S. Department of State produced a 9-part poster series entitled “The Road to Equality: How American Women Won the Vote” in 2006 based on the book “Winning the Vote” by Robert P. J. Cooney, Jr.
The poster set was designed for use by embassies and libraries overseas, so has not circulated much within the country. These are vibrant posters with many historic photographs that together present a broad overview of the movement with accompanying text. They make a compelling and informative display, perfect for the 90th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. The set includes 9 different posters, each 31” x 20”. Brochure included.
Unfortunately, this small image does not begin to capture the daring and elegant design of each poster.)
