Pam Hill on CERF+:

The very first quilt donation of my career was for the first CERF+ auction in West Springfield, MA. Most memorable, for me, about that event, was a bidding war between Russell Kagan and myself for a Bennett Bean pot. I won. Many years later I created the first of a very few quilts which utilized rare Japanese silks. The piece represented a major transition in my work. I committed to a gift of $1,000 of the purchase price to CERF+. When Polly Allen purchased the piece I suggested she simply write a check directly to CERF+. Polly had never heard of CERF+. Now a CERF+ board member, Polly contacted me for a donation for this 25th Anniversary auction. In 2003 one of the first offers of assistance that I received after an Ovarian Cancer diagnosis was from Cornelia Carey, Executive Director of CERF+. It seems that CERF+ has been weaving in and out of my entire career in craft. And now it is 25 years. CERF+ is still here and I am still here. It is my incredible privilege to donate another quilt for the 25th Anniversary. Thank you to the entire craft community of which CERF+ is the finest representative.
