Item Description

Treat your family to a lifetime experience at Rocky Mountain National Park.  Work with staff from the Rocky Mountain Nature Association to customize an outdoor day-long  seminar/hike with a naturalist for your family (for up to 6 people). Examples of topics your naturalist could cover include wildflower identification, animal tracking skills, geology or any other natural history subject you’re interested in exploring at Rocky Mountain National Park .  You pick the topic and date and a qualified instructor will provide you with a hands-on learning experience.  

 

You will work with the Rocky Mountain Nature Association’s (RMNA) Field Seminar Director to arrange the logistics of your special field seminar. Depending on the seminar topic some experiences include an element of rigor due to high altitude and variable weather. Participants must be in good health and equipped for sudden weather changes. All levels are welcomed and seminar topics and content can be customize to meet the needs of families with children or groups with more advanced skills.  When coordinating your seminar be sure to mention any special needs or requests.

 

And to get you more acquainted with Rocky Mountain National Park you’ll receive a one year family membership with Rocky Mountain Nature Association (RMNA).  Your  RMNA family membership provides a 15% discount at Rocky Mountain Nature Association (RMNA) park and online stores, discounts at other public land bookstores throughout the US, a subscription to the RMNA Quarterly magazine, park movie titled “Spirit of the Mountains” on DVD, and invitation to the annual membership picnic and other special events.

Transportation to and from Rocky Mountain National Park is the responsibility of the winning bidder. It is the responsibility of the bidder to work with the Rocky Mountain Nature Association staff to coordinate seminar topic and date . This package expires October 2011 and is not eligible for refunds or future credits.  Seminar includes one day entrance fee to Rocky Mountain National Park.
