Item Description
Robert Higginbotham offers one month of private guitar lessons!
About Robert:
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York Robert began playing in bands as a drummer in the mid sixties. He began playing guitar in bands soon after that. Primary styles are blues and rock. Robert can teach all styles except classical.
Robert plays in local bands in the Knoxville area. Primarily with the Pop/Rock band Avenue C, and the original/funk band Kings County Gumbo. Robert has also run weekly jams at both Pauls Oasis in Knoxville and at Brackins Blues Club in Maryville..
After raising three children, Robert took 'early retirement' from the 'day job' and began teaching. Robert teaches at Rik's Music in Knoxville and at his home studio in Maryville.
Robert is experienced in teaching all ages, from seven to (almost) seventy-seven. Robert believes that all students are unique and tailors the lesson plans to the students needs, rather than a prescribed method. With that said, Robert prefers to use the Hal Leonard, Guitar Method books 1-3 for students 13 and younger.
