Item Description
17.5" x 17.5" framed pastel painting rendered on sanded paper. Image of three hens, with contemporary palette, frame is 2.5" on all sides.
Inspired by an autumn walk on a country road in Cumberland Ri, these hens caught our attention as then wandered to the road side to greet us. From this encounter, several hen/rooster award winning paintings resulted.
In 2002 Karole took her first pastel class and discovered the medium that would speak to her like no other. She attended Rhode Island School of Design, studying graphic and advertising design and has studied pastel techniques from national artists Richard McKinley, Bob Rohm, Liz Haywood Sullivan abs Robert Carsten. She is represented by The Next Door Gallery, Mansfield, MA and The Fine Arts Gallery at Ventucci, Westwood, CT.
