Item Description
Anne Mimi Sammis' art is motivated by her heartfelt desire to touch, inspire and validate the peace within each one of us, and her belief that love heals all. The original of this work, Dove of Peace, was exhibited at the United Nations and awarded to the wife of the Secretary-General, Mrs Kofi Annan. Mimi's work is in more than 400 collections worldwide, including at the UN. She was commissioned by the Archbishop of Canterbury to create an original work for Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee and it's on permanent display in London. Look for influences of Rodin and Degas in Mimi's sculpture. She draws inspiration from their work, but brings in her own unique sense of balance and movement.
