Item Description
Thomas Brennan's work is a melding or art and science: Precise measurements and intricate toolwork are necessary for him to interpret his designs in the surfaces of the wooden boxes he creates. This inlaid wooden jewelry box incorporates a classic Cape Cod theme. The actual structure of the box is poplar and birch plywood. Inlays are narra, holly, padonk and maple while the veneer is walnut
Tom Brennan has been producing fine marquetry for over 25 years. He's a member of the Artisans' Guild of Cape Cod and a member of the Society of Cape Cod Craftsmen, a professional organization whose members have hosted live craft fairs on the Cape for 58 years.
