Item Description
A fisherman heads for his working grounds from Apponaug Cove as the morning sun lights up the calm bay and the headlands of Warwick Neck and Patients and Prudence Islands are silhouetted against the dawn sky. Artist Walter Scott has captured both the colors of dawn and its reflections on the water broken by the boat as it steams by, leaving its wake to mark its passage.
Essentially a self-taught artist, Walter Scott witnessed this very scene everyday for nearly thirty years while working as a quahogger.
Walter is a member of the Wickford Art Association, Newport Artist Guild and the American Society of Marine Artists.
Item Special Note
