Item Description
The intricacies of Maine’s rocky shore are intriguing even if you’re not an artist, but they’re even more irresistible if you make use of an easel and palette. Here’s Rhode Island artist Harley Bartlett’s glimpse at a portion of that alluring, northern coast.
You've seen Harley's artwork firsthand in the Rhode Island statehouse, where he painted the clouds on the ceiling. (He's done similar work in Des Moines and Salt Lake City.) Harley has created murals for cruise ships and national-chain restaurants and has restored several church interiors. He’s a past president of the Providence Art Club and operates Thomas Street Studios, which tackles national interior design projects.
Harley's work is seen at numerous galleries, including the Donovan Gallery of Tiverton Four Corners; Sheldon Fine Art of Newport, RI and Naples, FL; and at the Providence Art Club.
Item Special Note
Harley is part of The Elevens (named for 11 Thomas St., the Providence Art Club’s address), with fellow artistic luminaries Anthony Tomaselli and Del-Bourree Bach.
This framed, original oil measures 15"H x 18"W.
