Item Description

Encaustic painting, painted with pigmented beeswax on board. 14" X 14" in a black wooden floater frame.

Painting in the age old technique of encaustic, which is painting with melted beeswax and pigments, Linda is able to use the translucency of the wax to achieve a depth of color and feeling within her paintings. Many layers of colored waxes are applied to boards until the luminosity that she is looking for is achieved.

Linda was raised in Connecticut and received a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Connecticut with concentrations in Graphic Design and Painting.
