Item Description

Pelvis is a wall hanging, 3-dimensional piece, incorporating collage and assemblage. It's central component is an altered book with repetative images of the pelvis bone on its pages. The book is kept open by vintage clothes pins, allowing the viewer to peer into it's mysterious and cyptic pages.  I'm fascinated by the beauty, strength and fragility of bones and was inspired to create a series of works dealing with bone structure.

My work is about creating a personal choreograph of inclusiveness on an intimate scale in the form of constructions, boxes, shrines, sculptures, collages and assemblages. I love to create little realities by letting a stream of conciousness take over, and I become somewhat unaware of the meaning or story to my work. I push my constructions into a distorted dreamscape of tiny dramas and associations that intrigue and stimulate me emotionally and artistically.
