Enjoy a one-year family membership to one of New York City’s most beautiful living works of art, Wave Hill Public Gardens in Riverdale. Wave Hill boasts 28 acres of carefully cultivated gardens, woodlands, and grounds overlooking the Hudson River. A special treat is the ongoing Family Art Project series, every Saturday and Sunday 10 - 1, where children and adults alike explore a particular theme and create works of art from natural materials or inspired by the surroundings.

A Family Membership at Wave Hill offers unlimited free admission for two adults and their children for one year, four guest passes, three parking passes, special Members only events and sales, reciprocal benefits at more than 230 Gardens across the country, discounts on Wave Hil concerts, lectures and workshops, discounts at regional cultural institutions, local nurseries and garden centers and a 10% discount on purchases in the Wave Hill Shop and Cafe.

Item Special Note

Wave Hill provides free van service between the front gate and the Metro-North Railroad Riverdale station and the terminus of the #1 subway train at West 242nd Street.  

Train

Metro-North Railroad Riverdale Station: Meets northbound trains at 45 minutes past the hour, from 9:45am to 4:45pm; returns visitors to the Riverdale station departing Wave Hill’s front gate at 20 minutes past the hour, from 12:20 to 5:20.

Subway

West 242nd Street #1 Station: Meets visitors directly in front of Burger King at the terminus of the #1 subway train hourly at 10 minutes past the hour, from 9:10am to 4:10pm; returns visitors to the terminus of the #1 subway train departing Wave Hill’s front gate on the hour, from noon until 5pm. Passenger pick-up and drop-off are on the west side of Broadway.
